Shocked readers of the semi-popular web magazine The Hammer (www.thehammer.ca)
responded negatively to the use of a photograph taken from the popular publication
The Onion (www.theonion.com).
Photographs on the Internet are frequently reused by other sites who require
content, said Buford McGraw, editor-for-life of The Hammer.
"This sort of thing is done all the time... Everyone's overreacting
to our attempt to reuse a photograph from a similar site."
The problem was only amplified when The Hammer attempted to write content to
match the satirical wit of The Onion using the stolen photograph.
Staff of The Onion could not be reached for comment as they did not give a damn.
